Abo El Hol Center, Cairo
The initial site development concept for a
new retail and entertainment center in New Cairo, Egypt, was formulated
by conducting a one week charrette with the client. Three initial
design concepts led to the winning option of a "power center"
/ entertainment complex, with separate office & retail buildings.
The concept further evolved into building assemblage around a grand
outdoor "forum" at the heart of the community.
